BROOKLYN, Mich. (Aug. 20, 2007) -- The 3M Performance 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway has been postponed until 10 a.m. Tuesday.
All parking lots will open at 6 a.m. and grandstand gates will open at 8 a.m.
Race tickets will be honored on Tuesday. Race fans that attended Sunday or Monday activities should bring back their tickets for re-entry.
A modified traffic plan will be in place for Tuesday's event. The track asks all local citizens that use U.S. Hwy 12, M-50 or Vicary Road for their morning commute to prepare for an increased amount of traffic, and find alternate routes if possible.
Campers will be allowed to stay in all MIS-owned and operated campgrounds until noon Wednesday. Those campers who wish to leave may do so in accordance with the grounds' normal exiting pattern.
Fans that are not camping, but wish to stay in the area for the night are welcomed to stay in their parked cars.
