David Ragan, driver of the No. 6 UPS Ford Fusion, was seventh fastest during Saturday's Happy Hour. Ragan -- who finished third at MIS last August, one of two top-10 finishes at the two-mile track in 2008 -- will start 23rd tomorrow.

DOES A FAST CAR DURING HAPPY HOUR MAKE FOR A BETTER NIGHT'S SLEEP? "No doubt about it. It takes away all of your indigestion from your evening meal. And, our UPS Ford is fast. We've obviously tried a lot of things over the course of the year, and we've had some fast cars at a lot of tracks and we've had some slow cars at a lot of tracks, so this has been what a normal weekend should feel like: Unload, makes some changes that help, make some changes that hurt, but when the checkered flag falls at the end of practice, I think we know what we've got. First thing's first, which is to get through the first half of tomorrow's race, and I think we'll be all right."

THE TIME SHEET SHOWS ONLY YOUR FASTEST LAP, BUT YOU'RE LOOKING AT LONGER RUNS, CORRECT? "Yeah, we ran as many long runs today as we've run all year. We put a set of tires on and ran 10 or 12 laps, and I think you'll see a lot of other guys doing that, and it'll be interesting to see what the lap tracker shows as far as everyone else. But we can only control what we can control. We can't be playing guessing games with all of the other guys in the field, because we don't know how many times they put new tires on, what kind of traffic they're in, so we can just control what we can, and I just go off the feel that we had last year when we finished third, and our UPS Ford feels really close to what that car felt like a year ago."
