DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Ground Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 7th
How did your race car handle during the qualifying lap? "We're just super tight and trying to get the balance on it. The speed is not going to be terrible, but it's not going to be top-10 -- I don't believe. We've got to work on it a little bit, but I know we've got a fast enough car that whether we get practice tomorrow or not we should be fine on Sunday."
How was your car in race trim during practice? "It wasn't bad. We fought for a little speed, but you've got to realize we went out there 15 minutes after everyone else did so our speed was going to be lower when the track is green it's at its fastest. We weren't too disappointed on the speed in race trim."

DAVID REUTIMANN, No. 00 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Michael
Waltrip Racing
Starting Position: 9th
How was your qualifying lap? "It was a decent lap. Going out a little bit later didn't help us any, but overall made a lot of good changes on the car. The car was better for sure. Driving, we picked up on our speed. Overall, decent effort. Hopefully it will get us a pit opening in or out. There are a couple separations in the wall here and get us a good starting position."
How different was the race track from practice to qualifying? "We did some qualifying runs and we did some race runs and finished up with qualifying runs. For us, the clouds came in and it started getting cooler and cooler and cooler so we tried to get our runs in early because we really didn't feel like once the storm went by, we knew it was going to get hot again so we didn't really feel like it was going to benefit us to try to do it on a cold race track, especially having a later draw. We had the right frame of mind, we did the right things that we needed to do. Just need a little bit more."

JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 Home Depot Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting
Position: 12th
How did your car change from practice to qualifying? "Our car was good and I was pumped up about it, but now I feel like I gave up some speed. It was tight in the middle in practice. Just going to pick up the gas, it started to pick up a little bit of a push and I waited on it maybe a little too long. It's disappointing, I thought we were going to be a lot better than that."

MARTIN TRUEX JR., No. 56 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip
Racing
Starting Position: 13th
How was your qualifying lap? "It was pretty good. We picked up from practice and it's a little bit hotter so the guys that went out early had a huge advantage with the rain and all that. It was a good lap for us. We picked up from practice and the car drove really good. I thought it would've been faster than that so it was kind of strange. Usually when I say, 'That's pretty good,' it's usually fast. But today pretty good was just middle of the road speedwise."

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 M&M's Pretzel Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 15th
How was your car in qualifying? "The car was fine on that lap. There was really no more speed that we could have gotten out of it on that lap. The balance on the car was good so we should be good on Sunday."

***
CASEY MEARS, No. 83 Red Bull Toyota Camry, Red Bull Racing Team
Starting Position: 32nd
How was your qualifying lap? "It was terrible. We should've been better anyway just relative to the field, but the track is a lot hotter than it was in practice and it's a lot hotter than when the first car went out. The majority of the field is qualifying pretty badly the second half of the qualifying just because of the heat -- the track is a lot hotter."
How was your car during practice in race trim? "It was pretty good in qualifying trim. When the track was cool it wasn't too bad and then in race trim we were really, really, really tight. I felt like the car had a lot of grip, we just need to work on the balance."
