"Richmond's one of the first tracks I ever raced on when I went NASCAR racing in the Busch Series. It's a tough little short track. You've got to have a knack for getting around the track and you've got to have a good race car.

"Being with Hendrick Motorsports, I'm pretty confident that we'll have a strong car. I feel like the MichaelHoligan.com team is capable of winning at any track we go to, but testing (at Richmond) helped, too. Now, it's just a matter of going out and having a good qualifying run so I don't put myself in a bad spot by having to come from the back of the field."

Nadeau shares his birthday, Saturday, Sept. 9, not only with the Chevrolet Monte Carlo 400 at Richmond International Raceway, but also with one of his corporate sponsors. Dean Leipsner, senior vice president of media for MichaelHoligan.com, also celebrates his birthday Saturday.

Viggy's Dining Guide -- Nadeau's motorcoach driver, John "Viggy" Vignona, is a self-proclaimed connoisseur of the restaurants near each of the NASCAR Winston Cup Series tracks. The Long Island, N.Y., native has two recommendations for your dining pleasure in Richmond.

"The Tobacco Warehouse is good, and then there's also a pizza parlor downtown, too. I can't remember the name of it, but it's downtown by the water, down by the bridge near the water dam. What's so special about the pizza place? It's just like New York! "The Tobacco Warehouse is kind of 'yuppity' but the food is good. It's a pretty nostalgic place, too. It has neat old beams inside -- just a neat place to eat. It's downtown by the river, too, down by the gates."

P.S. We did a little research -- the name of the pizza parlor is Bottom's Up.
