The entire Cookout Clash at Bowman Gray will take place on Monday, February 2nd as the track is currently being hammered with a winter storm that is dropping several inches of snow. While Sunday is set to be clear, temperatures will remain below freezing and a wind chill that could be in the single-digits.

As a result, NASCAR officials have rescheduled the event for Monday. On that day, the high will reach 40 degrees Fahrenheit with  a low of 19, and no inclement weather expected. It won't be warm, but it will be far better than if they pushed ahead with the plan to race on Sunday.

"Due to the impacts of winter weather near Bowman Gray Stadium, the Cook Out Clash has been postponed to Monday, Feb. 2," a statement from the track read. "NASCAR is continuing to work closely with the City of Winston-Salem and North Carolina officials on the impacts of the winter weather in the city and surrounding region to host a safe event."

Added Ben Kennedy, NASCAR Executive Vice President and Chief Venue & Racing Innovation Officer: "Nothing matters more than the safety of our fans, even when the weather doesn’t cooperate. We were ready to fight the weather, and appreciate the collaboration with Winston-Salem and NC officials to make the best decision. Our operations team is hard at work for a Monday race!"

New schedule for Monday, February 2nd

9am EST -- Parking lots open

9:30am EST -- Shuttle services available

10am EST -- Gates open

11am EST -- Practice and qualifying (FOX Sports 2)

4:30pm EST -- Last-chance qualifier (FOX)

6pm EST -- Main event (FOX)

NASCAR will not run the heat races, and the top 20 qualifiers will go directly to to the feature race. The 21st and 22nd spots on the grid will be granted to the top two finishers in the LCQ, and the 23rd and final spot will go to the highest-finishing in the 2025 championship who failed to make the race.
