Here's some late news, all from Jayski's site:
"Pennzoil Products Company announced Tuesday that Gumout will sponsor the #30 Bahari Racing Pontiac driven by Derrike Cope in 1998"(NASCAR Online), looks like the earlier rumor of Jiffy Lube being the sponsor was incorrect. ===== Kevin Lepage will attempt to make the NAPA 500 in Atlanta in the the #91 LJ Racing Chevy with Doug Richert as the crew chief and Clyde Booth as a technical consultant during qualifying(RPM2Nite) ===== Cartoon Network Wacky Racing will be unveiling their #9 1998 Ford Taurus car on CNN's TalkBack Live, this Thursday(11-13) between 3:30-4 pm(est). It will be a NASCAR show with Lake Speed and Bill Elliott talking about the sport and the NAPA 500. At some time during the show, the will unveil the car Lake will drive next year. ===== Terry Labonte is not going to Japan and Jack Sprague will driver the #5 Chevy, Rain-X will be the sponsor. ===== Bill Weber said on RPM2Day (11-9) that Geoff Bodine has a sponsor, but is waiting to make the announcement.
