Racin' Rob and Nancy report it's still raining at Daytona.
Nancy drove by the track this morning, and here's her report:
"Just passed by the Speedway about 45 min. ago and it was raining so hard, the visibility was terrible. Currently in the Daytona area, raining, very heavy at times, and occasional thunder and lightning." ===== Press release from Standridge Racing, via Jayski's web page:
Standridge Racing along with driver Billy Standridge have teamed up with Team Fans Can Race (FCR) as a contributing sponsor for the 1998 Winston Cup Season. Team FCR is a fan club that allows membership dues to help back the Standridge Racing Team. The fan club offers members many racing advantages including the opportunity for members to win trips to races that Standridge Racing will compete in. The #47 Standridge Race Team was reformed in middle part of 1997 and competed in the DieHard 500 at Talladega on 10/12/97 where Billy Standridge won second day qualifying. Billy had a top 10 run going until an unfortunate accident took him out of the race.
Standridge Racing is planning to compete in 10 races for the 1998 Winston Cup Season.
