Bill Elliott has a press conference scheduled for Friday(11-14) night in Atlanta to announce his second team with Jerry Nadeau as the driver. The car will be #13 with a green, white and orange paint scheme and First Plus as the sponsor. Dan Marino is unable to attend the press conference, but will answer questions via satellite.(Jayski) ===== Jayski heard Rich Bickle has left DW's WC and truck teams. If Andretti takes the #43 ride, Bickle will probably end up in the #98. If Andretti stays, look for Bickle in either the Washington-Erving ride or the #43 ride. As for the truck team, things are up in the air, they may sell or may try to run in 1998. No word on DW's sponsor for 1998 yet. ===== NAPA 500 qualifying can be listened to via the Internet on Friday, 11-14 at 2pm at AudioNet (http://drew.audionet.com/sports/racing/default.stm) and followed on NASCAR Online and Speedworld. As well as being seen live on ESPN2 live at 2pm. This could all change if the expected rain takes over. (Jayski) ===== ARCA Champion Tim Steele who crashed in the #15 Bud Moore Ford last week during an Atlanta test and was injured will not race in either Atlanta race this coming weekend and the Bud Moore team has withdrawn it's entry for the NAPA 500(RPM2Nite, Chaz Hinkle and the AP, Jayski) ===== Dale Jarrett, who enters this weekend's season-ending NAPA 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway a close second in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series point standings, is the fourth-quarter nominee for the NASCAR True Value Man of the Year Award. Jarrett joins Kyle Petty (first quarter), Bill Elliott (second quarter) and Terry Labonte (third quarter) as the nominees for the NASCAR True Value Man of the Year. The winner will be announced at the NASCAR Winston Cup awards banquet Dec. 5 at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.
