Peak to back Kenseth during 2017 season

Joe Gibbs racing offered a sneak “Peak” of Matt Kenseth’s new sponsor debuting at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for this weekend’s Kobalt 400.

Motorsport.com has learned that Peak Auto will support the No. 20 Toyota and Kenseth in a limited schedule this season. Peak will also be on the car at Auto Club Speedway and on the JGR Xfinity Series entry for Daniel Suarez.

The multi-year deal will also feature Peak as an associate sponsor of the No. 20 car as well as the primary sponsor for Daniel Suarez’s No. 18 NASCAR XFINITY Series Toyota in Talladega Superspeedway. Peak will serve as an associate for the remainder of Suarez's NXS races.

"We're excited to announce PEAK's partnership with JGR and both Matt Kenseth and Daniel Suarez,” said team owner Joe Gibbs. "They have been a tremendous supporter of our sport for a long time and I think their entitlement sponsorship of the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series is another great example of that. It's a real thrill to have them with us and on the No. 20 car with Matt, and Daniel's XFINITY Series car."

Kenseth, who turns 45 on Friday, has 38 career Monster Energy Cup wins, 18 poles, 172 top fives and 310 top 10s. He won NASCAR’s premiere series championship in 2003. Since NASCAR introduced its playoff system the following year, Kenseth in 12 of 13 seasons. Kenseth is currently 16th in the Cup standings.

Peak has been involved in racing for more than 30 seasons. In NHRA, Peak is aligned with 16-time Funny Car champion John Force. Peak Antifreeze & Coolant most recently sponsored Clint Bowyer in NASCAR.
