#00 Domino's Pizza Toyota Finishes 32nd at Phoenix
Phoenix, AZ -- The #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota, driven by David Reutimann in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series for Michael Waltrip Racing, finished 32nd tonight in the Subway Fresh Fit 500 from Phoenix International Raceway.
The #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota rolled off 25th this afternoon, but the car was extremely tight right from the green flag and the team could never seem to make the correct adjustments to get the car in contention.
"The #00 Domino's Camry was horrible yesterday, so Frank and the guys threw everything at it -- trying to get it better. So, tonight we really had no clue how the car would react. The car just would not turn in the center and everything we tried just did not help it" said David Reutimann.
David did improve on his best finish of the season, which was 33rd and continued to praise his team's efforts after the race. The 32nd place finish is another small step in the right direction by continuing to gain driver and owner points in an attempt to get inside the top 35.
"Its definitely not the finish the #00 Domino's Pizza team was looking for, but it is another baby step in improving our position in the points, which is our main focus at the moment -- making and finishing races," said David of today's finish.
