SADLER GOES TO THE DARK SIDE UNDER THE LIGHTS AT PHOENIX

CHARLOTTE, NC (April 19, 2005) -- With the dominance of multi-car teams in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series garage, the days have passed when team owners only worry about horsepower and handling. Now they must also search for the right chemistry when building their teams, including drivers who will work well together.

Perhaps none have hit the jackpot quite like owner Robert Yates when he signed Virginia native Elliott Sadler to his stable in 2003, pairing him with championship driver Dale Jarrett. Over three seasons, Sadler and Jarrett have developed a close bond off-track and on, proving to be each other's biggest supporters.

This weekend the two teammates along with their respective sponsors, M&M'S® Brand Candies and UPS, are again united, but this time under the banner of the Star Wars Chocolate M-Pire. There is a catch, though. The Robert Yates Racing drivers will be working for opposite sides of the Force, separated by dark Darth and light Jedi sides when they take to the track at Phoenix International Raceway.

Sadler will pilot the #38 Dark Chocolate M&M'S Ford Taurus while teammate Jarrett handles the driving duties for the #88 UPS / Milk Chocolate M&M'S Ford on Saturday night in the Subway Fresh 500.

Quoting M&M'S® Driver Elliott Sadler:

On the "Star Wars Chocolate M-Pire"--"I was really excited to hear I was driving for the dark side. I grew up watching the first three Star Wars movies and I thought that Darth Vader and the storm troopers were very cool. It is just another reason why I feel so lucky to drive for M&M'S. Not only do we get to be a part of the final movie release of such an epic saga, but we're also enlightening all of the loyal NASCAR and Star Wars fans about Dark Chocolate M&M'S."

"It's great that not only the 38 Team and the 88 Team work together on the track but that our sponsors, UPS and M&M'S®, have a strong partnership as well. Our sponsors celebrate all of our successes at RYR, whether it is the 38 Team or 88 Team, the same ways our teams celebrate together. So when one partner is involved in an opportunity as great as this Star Wars promotion, we want to have everyone in on the fun with a chance to benefit from the excitement."

On Phoenix International Raceway-- "We had a rough time last weekend in Texas. It's definitely not what we had hoped for as defending race champions. I can say my guys never gave up and they made great changes to the M&M'S Ford all day. We were going to have a top-15 maybe a top-10 finish but we had a part failure and didn't get to the end so we took a hit in the points."

"We hope to make it up this weekend in Phoenix. We had a great car there last year during the Chase but because of a cut tire we ended up in the wall and pretty much ended our day. I think we'll have a good car again for this weekend. It seems we've just improve our short track or mile track program so much during the off-season and I think that should carry on in Phoenix. The point's race is still tight from third to tenth so we can jump back up towards the front with a solid finish."
