"Last weekend I felt like the Fords had a big disadvantage and we couldn't be competitive if we wanted to. It's like comparing apples to oranges sometimes when things start shaking out on the track. As soon as we get those 2004 Taurus' out on the track we are all going to be like little kids at Christmas."

ELLIOTT SADLER'S VIEW FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT:

"I like competing west of the Mississippi River. This week is going to be tough on the guys since the rain in Atlanta shortened an already short week. They have to turn the trucks around within 24 hours of getting home from Atlanta. We have a lot to look forward to this weekend -- and really for the next three races. I finished 10th last year in Phoenix so it always helps going back to a track where you've run well at. Secondly, this car is real good on tracks like Phoenix and New Hampshire. Rockingham is going to be good for this Robert Yates Racing team and at Homestead everyone will be on even ground since no one has been able to test the new track configuration. So I'm staying positive."

CREW CHIEF TODD PARROTT ON THE M&M'S CAR:

"We are taking the same car we ran 8th with at New Hampshire. The two tracks are similar so the type of car we chose will work pretty good. Elliott has been doing really well on the qualifying part of the weekend so a good starting spot and staying out of trouble will make for a good weekend."

SPOTTER BRETT GRIFFIN'S VIEW FROM THE TOP OF PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY:

"Phoenix is very different from the other tracks we spot at. We stand in the middle of turns one and two so our view point is nothing like the other tracks on the circuit. The cars are coming toward us or going away from us for 90 percent of the race. It's a long ways to turns three and four so our vantage point isn't the best when it comes to being able to help the drivers down there if a wreck happens. It's always fun to go out west because the fans are still kind of new to having a race in the west coast market."
