Pocono II: Casey Mears preview

TARGET TEAM FACTS:

Chassis: Team Target will race chassis #308 at Pocono this weekend. So far this year the car has placed 20th at Michigan; 35th at Charlotte and 21st at the first Pocono weekend.

Pocono Raceway: In one career Winston Cup Series start at Pocono Raceway, Casey Mears finished 21st due to fuel mileage. That same weekend Mears won the pole for the ARCA race that was postponed due to rain.

Raybestos Rookie: Mears is currently third in Raybestos rookie of the year standings.

900 Miles in Three Days: In addition to running the No. 41 Target car in the Winston Cup race, Mears will also race the No. 77 Target Dodge for two ARCA races during the weekend. Mears will be racing a total of 900 miles over the three-day race weekend.

How are you going to do at Pocono?

"We are really looking forward to going back to Pocono and redeeming ourselves a little bit. We went there in June and had a really good car. I think we could have easily been within the top 10 until we ran out of gas, which put us a lap down. We didn't really get the finish we deserved there. I think we are going to have a really strong run there this weekend."
