ROLES REVERSED FOR REUTIMANN BEFORE HEADING TO POCONO RACEWAY

LONG POND, Pa. (August 1, 2007) -- Each week David Reutimann's five-year-old daughter Emilia watches her dad race in both the NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. This week the roles were reversed as Reutimann watched Emilia take horse back riding lessons in Sherrills Ford (N.C.) on Tuesday before heading to Pocono Raceway to race the No. 00 BURGER KING® Toyota Camry.

"I'm a nervous dad anyway and I was a little scared because it was the first time I have been able to watch her," Reutimann said. "She was on a big horse and she's such a little girl. The horse looked enormous with her standing beside it. I'm thankful she has a great instructor and what really makes me happy is that she seems to love it."

Reutimann's wife Lisa finds her husbands uneasiness a bit humorous.

"I find it comical because David's nervous about her getting on a horse, but he would be okay with her getting into a race car," Lisa Reutimann said. "This is something she's been working hard at and she's doing well. While the horse is trotting, she's not being led. She's working with the horses and doing everything from cleaning stalls to brushing them. Her dad worked on his own cars growing up and it is nice to see her following the same pattern and work ethic."

Reutimann's family will not be able to join him at Pocono Raceway due to being consumed with flying back and forth from Pennsylvania to Gilles Villeneuve Circuit in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

"The Busch and Cup races are in different locations this weekend," Reutimann said. "Because I have a busy week, my family is staying home. I left as early as Wednesday to fly to Canada to meet with NAPA since they are sponsoring my Busch car this weekend. I'll be able to practice the car on Thursday and then head to Pocono to practice and qualify the BURGER KING® Toyota Camry. I'll only get one Cup practice in on Saturday at Pocono because I will fly back up to Montreal for the Busch race."

In June, Reutimann locked in his No. 00 BURGER KING® Toyota Camry at Pocono Raceway and finished 38th in the Pocono 500. Since Reutimann has experience there, he feels really comfortable with returning to the 2.5-mile tri-oval.

"When we qualified the BURGER KING® Toyota Camry at Pocono earlier this season, we were able to learn a lot," Reutimann said. "We've made progress each and every week since we left there. I feel like we will have a better run this time around. I was able to qualify a car (second) for Josh Wise and Eddie Sharp Racing and I have a second-place ARCA (RE/MAX Series) finish there. Therefore, I really like the track and I'm ready to go back."

Live coverage of the Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday, August 5th begins at 1 p.m. EDT live on ESPN and MRN Radio.
