Wimmer on Pocono Raceway--

"My first impressions of Pocono were, wow! What a unique track," said Scott Wimmer. "I have never seen or raced on something like that track before. It took quite a bit of getting used to. We were off quite a bit to begin with and then got our times better as the day went on. I got in a rental car with Mark Martin and he drove me around the track and pointed out where to shift and how to get around the unique track. He was a huge help for me. I still have a lot of work to do on my part to be competitive, but the test session certainly helped us out a ton. That's going to be one of those places that will just get better the more laps you run."

The Caterpillar team posts top-10 finish at Dover International Speedway-- The Caterpillar team posted their second top-10 finish of the season. The team ran among the top 20 all day and stayed out of trouble for the entire race. After a major wreck occurred and took out several cars, Wimmer and the team capitalized and finished ninth. Wimmer's ninth-place finish continues his streak of top-15 finishes at every race since he began racing at the Monster Mile.

The Caterpillar team tests Wednesday--

The #22 Caterpillar team ventures to Virginia Wednesday, June 9 to test at Virginia International Raceway in preparation for the road course race at Infineon Raceway at the end of this month. They will be testing with last year's car and basically will try some handling and gear combinations, but the primary focus is to give Wimmer some valuable seat time on a road course.

Cat equipment for the Pocono 500--

Wimmer and the No. 22 Caterpillar team are taking car #78. It's the same car that the team competed with at North Carolina Speedway (started 31st and finished 15th) and Darlington Raceway (started 14th and finished 16th) and California Speedway (started 39th and finished 30th after a vapor lock problem).
