Pocono: Travis Kvapil preview

What are you expectations heading to Pocono this weekend?

"Pocono is a unique triangular race track that has three totally different corners to it. The surface is fairly rough and it just has a very worn-in feel to the track when you race there. Fortunately we had an opportunity to test there last week before Dover and I thought our No. 28 car had decent speed in it. I'm really optimistic going into this weekend based on how our car was able to perform in race trim for our two days of testing. Our team has had a lot of momentum over the past couple of months and that's topped off by our great run at Dover last weekend. I'm just always so excited to go to the race track every weekend and this weekend at Pocono should be another great run for us. It's always fun to go to Pocono because there isn't another track that you can compare it to on the circuit."

How has the past week helped to prepare the team for racing at Pocono this weekend?

"I feel pretty good as we head to Pocono this weekend. We had a great qualifying effort at Dover last weekend that allowed us to finish eleventh and we just had a really great car there all weekend. The test session at Pocono last week also went pretty well for us and we came away with a few really positive elements to return with this weekend. We had some great qualifying runs during the test and I just feel very good about our chances this weekend. At the very least our goal is to bring home a solid top-15 finish in our No. 28 Yates Racing Ford Fusion at Pocono on Sunday."

CHASSIS #601

Chassis #601 is the chassis the No. 28 Yates Racing team will be running this weekend for the Pocono 500 at Pocono Raceway. This is a brand new chassis for the team, but was tested during the Pocono test session last week.
