HICKORY, NC (September 6, 2004) - Bobby Hamilton, Jr., driver of the No. 32 Tide Chevrolet, makes his second start for the Tide team this weekend. This will be his second Cup appearance, as he has one race under his belt, the spring race earlier this year in the No. 09 car, where he finished 17th. He also has finished fourth, third and 10th in his last three Busch races at RIR, so Richmond is one of Hamilton, Jr.'s favorite tracks.

Bobby Hamilton, Jr., driver of the No. 32 Tide Chevrolet:

You made your first Cup start at Richmond this spring in the No. 09 car where you finished 17th. What are your thoughts of that finish and expectations for this weekends race?

"After coming off that, of course, you are looking forward to it. The guys are excited as well as Harold Holly and myself. I feel I have a few more weapons at my disposal with the PPI team than I had this spring. We were great there in the spring, but I know I can do better this time around. We set the car up like the Busch car was and we just went after it. After having a race under my belt, I know I can improve this time around."

"I like Richmond--It has a ton of grip. Anytime we get a situation like that with Harold's setups and the engine program is stout, so I feel good about this weekend. We've almost one the thing before in the Busch car. We led 159 laps one time and fuel became the factor at the end and we lost that one. My dad's first Busch win came at Richmond, so it has always been a special place to our family and I'd love to get a win there. My dad will stay over from the truck race this weekend and hang out to watch me race on Saturday night, which will be special."

What are your thoughts on your first race with the Tide team, last weekend at California Speedway?

"Despite not finishing well, I feel it was a very productive weekend at California. Our team has no pressure on us right now and we are using these final races of the 2004 season as a test session for our team so we and identify and make improvements, so we can come out of the box strong in 2005."

Chassis No. 43: The Tide Racing team is taking Chassis No. 43 to Richmond this weekend. The car has one start under its belt, where it competed earlier this year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
