No.4 KODAK MAX Film Chevrolet Monte Carlo Race Report RACE: 2-North Carolina Speedway
Dura-Lube 400
Started: 24th
Finished: 26th
Laps Completed: 390 of 393
Points Position: 36th-137 points Robby Gordon posted his best finish at Rockingham in the rain-delayed, Monday race. He had four previous career starts at the track. Robby Gordon, driver No. 4 Kodak MAX Film Monte Carlo, quotes "We were tight all day. David Ifft and the crew made adjustments to correct the problem, but the car would not loosen up. We changed tire air pressures, removed spring rubbers, made chassis adjustments and the car stayed stupid tight all day. It would not turn in the corners. This team needed a solid run, so at least we accomplished that. "Our focus is to move up in points right now. It is going to take time, but if we can get solid finishes and avoid trouble, we will advance weekly. "I look forward to Vegas. I enjoy the town and I like racing at Las Vegas Speedway." Larry McClure, owner No. 4 KODAK MAX Film, Monte Carlo, quotes "We just missed the set-up today. Robby drove a tight race car all day. I am pleased with this weekend. We qualified pretty good. We had a decent finish in the race. With all of the distractions and high emotions, I think we finished the race in good shape.

"We used notes from this race last year to set-up the car. Obviously, when two drivers use the same set-up, one will be comfortable with it and the other dislike it. Robby prefers a looser car. We will work on giving him what he likes in the car."
