August 10, 2010
Elliott Sadler will run a special paint scheme when his No. 19 hits the track at Michigan International Speedway Sunday afternoon. Sadler's scheme will feature the Henry Ford Museum's upcoming Racing in America exhibit, chronicling the history of racing. Sadler talked about the paint scheme and what it's like racing at MIS.
ELLIOTT SADLER - No. 19 Racing in America Ford Fusion
WHAT CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL PAINT SCHEME AT MICHIGAN? "I am looking forward to running it. Any time you are in Michigan, in the manufacturer's back yard, you want to run well and do a good job and we definitely want to do that for Ford. It is an honor to me to have the Racing in America Paint Scheme on there at MIS. I have been with Ford a long time in the Sprint Cup Series and it is cool for us to do that. We are going to put our best foot forward. We have a really good car we are taking there and hopefully we have a really good run."
YOU HAVE HAD SOME SUCCESS OVER THE YEARS AT MIS, WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS? "Yeah, I like Michigan a lot. We always qualify well there and seem to race well there. Todd and I used to put some good runs together back in the day at Michigan, so we will load it up and head back there and give it all we've got.
