Sadler survives Dover
DOVER, Delaware (September 25, 2000) -- Elliott Sadler and the CITGO Ford started 22nd and finished 26th at the "Monster Mile". Quoting Crew Chief Mike Beam: "Goodyear brought a new tire this weekend and it had everyone guessing a little bit.
DOVER, Delaware (September 25, 2000) -- Elliott Sadler and the CITGO Ford started 22nd and finished 26th at the "Monster Mile".
Quoting Crew Chief Mike Beam: "Goodyear brought a new tire this weekend and it had everyone guessing a little bit. We saw a lot of cars fall out of the race with engine problems and blown right-front tires. We had a miss with our motor but we managed to finish the race and at least salvage a decent finish. Surviving today was an accomplishment within itself. We wouldn't be content with 26th usually but we finished better than some stronger cars just by surviving."

Elliott Sadler's CITGO Ford will sport the same paint scheme Glen Wood drove in the 1950’s this weekend. The retro look marks the fourth of five historical paint schemes for the Wood Brothers during the 2000 season.
The NAPA Autocare 500 at Martinsville Speedway will be televised live nationally by ESPN and broadcast on live radio by the Motor Racing Network. The start of Sunday's race is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
