MB2 Motorsports and the "M&M's"® Racing Team have strong ties to the Atlanta area. All three team owners -- Nelson Bowers, Tom Beard and Read Morton -- graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens. Beard and Morton reside in Georgia while Bowers lives in nearby Chattanooga, Tenn. * * "M&M's"® Racing Team driver Ken Schrader picked up his third career Winston Cup victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the spring of 1991. Schrader picked up the win after starting from the fifth position.
The "M&M's"® Racing Team is running a car that has seen quite a bit of action in the 2000 season. This particular "M&M's"® Pontiac run at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Michigan Speedway, Pocono Raceway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The "M&M's"® Racing Team enjoyed its most successful trip to Atlanta Motor Speedway in the spring of 1999. The "M&M's"® Pontiac came from one lap down to finish seventh after starting from the 21st position with Ernie Irvan behind the wheel.
