MIKE BLISS, NO. 27 VIAGRA PONTIAC GRAND PRIX (2nd):
(ON QUALIFYING DURING SECOND ROUND FOR TOMORROW'S RACE) "I've been screwing up in (turn) one since we unloaded here. I've been driving in too hard. The car has been all upset when it gets to (turn) two. I just slowed down getting into one and let it roll up the hill.
"I've been here enough, but never in a car. You see points that you used to drive to, but with a car you're going another five or 10 miles per hour quicker down the straightaway, and I just didn't realize it until today. "I was laying in bed this morning thinking, 'Dang. It's got to be me.' I just knew I had to slow down. So I got a guy up on the hill taking times. I said, 'I'm going to slow down coming up and you tell me if it's better,' and he said, 'Yep, that's better.'"
