DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- There were fireworks on and off the race track in the Sprint Unlimited on Saturday night.

Joey Logano was pushing Kevin Harvick on the racetrack attempting to get a run, but the current Sprint Cup champion did not interpret the move as an assist.

The cars collided on pit road and directives came from both teams to assist the drivers.

Immediate reactions

“He just shoved me straight in the fence,” Harvick said on the radio. “I had a right front (tire) going down and now it’s flat. He just shoved me all the way in the corner.”

Everyone is racing aggressively but you can't take your head off and put it in the floorboard

Kevin Harvick

“He thinks he was helping but you just can’t drive someone into the fence,” said Harvick again, who finished 11th. “I told him the karma train was coming.”

The No. 22 Team Penske crew warned their driver that Harvick wasn’t pleased.

He's an instigator, right? That's the same thing he is every time he talks to somebody

Joey Logano

“I guess Harvick is mad,” spotter Tab Boyd told Logano.

“(Screw) him, I was trying to help him that mother (expletive),” Logano said on the radio after finishing sixth.

Harvick and Logano continue to sound-off

"Like I told him last year, that kind of stuff catches up to you," said Harvick. "You know it's an All-Star Race and you can take things to the next level, but you can't just drive somebody into the wall."

"Everyone is racing aggressively but you can't take your head off and put it in the floorboard."

In response to what Harvick said in the exchange, "He's an instigator, right? That's the same thing he is every time he talks to somebody," an irritated Logano said. "It's the same old crap."

Danica jumps in

Danica Patrick also shoved her way into the scrum, quickly saying something to Logano with her hands raised before hastily leaving the scene. Although right there, Motorsport.com's Nick DeGroot didn't pick up anything she said, and apparently, neither did Joey.

"I'm confused. I don’t know what's going on right now. I'm really confused about everything.”

Over the radio, she told her team, "That Joey Logano was just hitting, hitting, hitting. Then I got in front of him and he was moving me like I did something. Those Team Penske guys are gonna have something coming to them."
