The three-segment Sprint Showdown – a qualifying event for Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star Race – has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. ET Saturday. With no practice completed Friday, the lineup was set by owner points and rookie Chase Elliott will start from the pole.

The N.C. Education Lottery 200 Truck Series race has been rescheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Trucks were able to complete one hour of practice on Thursday night so practice speeds were used to set the field and rookie William Byron will start from the pole.

Weather permitting, NASCAR plans to have All-Star practice from 9:30 to 10 a.m. and pit road practice for the All-Star race from 10:05 to 10:15 a.m. The Cup garage will open at 8:30 a.m.

Barring any addition weather problems, NASCAR would then resume its regular schedule for Saturday, which includes qualifying for the all-star race at 7:10 p.m. ET and the 113-lap, three-segment all-star race at 9 p.m. ET (Fox Sports 1).

The 20-car field has 15 drivers already qualified plus all three segment winners from the Showdown and the top two highest drivers in the fan vote (who are not otherwise qualified).

Should the weather prevent NASCAR from beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, the schedule will be readjusted. The most recent forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies and a 15 percent chance of rain at 11 a.m. Saturday.
