Rich Bickle, B.A.M. Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "It's a brand new deal we're trying to put together for B.A.M. Motorsports. We picked-up a bit and that's pretty good. But all I know is I gave it everything I've got and the team gave it everything they had and we'll see if we can get this thing in the race."

Kenny Wallace, No. 1 Pennzoil Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "We tested in Kentucky instead because we would have been out of tests. We really wanted to go to Atlanta. But everything has worked out real well. I guess we'll be okay. We just got to go racing."

Joe Nemechek, No. 33 Oakwood Homes Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "We struggled a little bit in practice. But this Oakwood Homes Chevy was not too bad. We qualified real good here last year. We had a pretty good race package. I think we're going to be better this year. This is the same car we had last year but we've got a little more momentum."

Are you still riding high from your win last week at Rockingham? "Absolutely. It felt good just getting in Victory Lane again. It's been two years since we've been there. It's just so hard to do; it's so competitive out there. I've got a great group of guys helping me and I'm just looking forward to this weekend."

Dale Earnhardt Jr., No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "Tony Eury Jr. and the guys on the Budweiser crew made a lot of changes that picked us up about eight-tenths. I'm really happy about that."

How big was the test session and how much did that pay off here today? "Not as much as the last few changes they made."

Kevin Harvick, No. 29 GM Goodwrench Service Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "These guys really stepped it up and tried some stuff they had on the No. 31 car. That was their lap. They stepped it up that much. It was a good lap."

Did you make many changes from practice to qualifying? "I don't think there was anything on the car we didn't change. They changed shocks, springs, sway bars, and everything in between. We were under the motor of either 'go fast or wreck hard'. We wet out and everything went good. I didn't really know what to expect. We hadn't practiced that fast or that good. My hats off to those guys."

Bobby Hamilton Jr., No. 4 Kodak Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "All the Morgan-McClure guys really worked on the car all day long. This Kodak Chevrolet hung out, but it was enough to take us all the way down the straightaway to get us in this thing. The guys kept their energy up and the driver got on the wheel a little bit and that's what got us in the show."

Jeff Gordon, No. 24 Dupont Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "Sixth is okay. I doubt that it will hold but we'll have a decent place to start. Our speeds were okay it's just not the lap we wanted for the Dupont Chevrolet. I think we have a good car. This is the car we took to Kansas City (won) and we should be fine in the race."

Michael Waltrip, No. 15 NAPA Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "The guys really did a great job. I was a little too tight and wanted to get it down out of the air. I should have gotten a little more out of it."

Jeff Green, No. 31 Lowe's Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "Going late didn't hurt anything. It was a good day for us. Thank goodness for the Lowe's guys. They did a great job. Hopefully we'll have a good day on Sunday."

Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "Switching back and forth between the Busch car and the Cup car has just taken the edge off. With all the pressure of not having any points, I was just real careful, I guess you could say. And it cost us. We tested much better. But we're solidly in the race and we're not going home. That's the important thing. We'll go get some experience on Sunday."
