Menard on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:

"Last weekend the goal of the No. 98 team was to get back into the top 35 in the points. We had a decent run in Martinsville, all things considering, and were able to secure a spot back in the points. This weekend we head to Texas and try to improve our position in the points. We've had good cars all season, just had a little bit of bad luck that we are now having to dig ourselves out of. Larry (Carter) and all the guys on the No. 98 have done a great job this season with making sure the cars are fast when we unload.

"I've had some good runs at Texas in the past and this weekend should be no different. If we can qualify well on Friday and have a good race on Sunday we should have a good finish and add to our points. Being that close out of the top 35 is not a position I like to be in and I know we have a team that is a lot better than that."

Crew Chief Larry Carter on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:

"We overcame a huge speed bump last weekend with getting ourselves back in the top 35 in points. This weekend, we just continue with our game plan. I've said it before, but we are just chopping down one tree at a time, not going after the entire forest. If we focus on making little gains over the next few races, we'll be able to bounce back pretty quickly. Paul's had some good runs at the upcoming tracks and our pit crew is getting better on pit road. It should be a good weekend for our team in Texas this weekend."
