TOYOTA TRIUMPH AT THE TRIANGLE: Denny Hamlin earned his fourth win of the season in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Pocono Raceway. It was the fourth time the 29-year-old Chesterfield, Va. native finished first at the 2.5-mile triangular track. He led 88 laps (of 204) laps en route to victory lane. Hamlin's Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) teammate Kyle Busch finished second to give Toyota a one-two finish -- the fifth time Camrys have finished one-two in the NSCS. Hamlin (four) and Busch (two) -- have now won six of the last nine Cup races driving Camrys. In addition to his Pocono win, Hamlin's victories this year have come at Martinsville (March 29), Texas (April 19) and Darlington (May 8), and Busch has won races at Richmond (May 1) and Dover (May 16).
POINTS PACE: Busch's second-place finish at Pocono enabled him to close the gap in the unofficial NSCS point standings. He remained second in the standings, but now trails leader Kevin Harvick by just 19 points. With the win, Hamlin moved up to third in the points -- 126 points behind Harvick.
KYLE CLICKS 200 IN CUP: Busch made his 200th career NSCS start in Sunday's Pocono race, becoming the youngest driver in series history to reach the 200 starts mark at 25 years, one month and four days. Toyota Camry driver Brian Vickers previously held the record (25 years, 11 months, three days), which he set in September 2009 at Dover, Del.
TOYOTA NNS TOP-10s: In Saturday night's NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Nashville Superspeedway, four Camry drivers finished in the top-10 at the 1.33-mile concrete oval. Brad Coleman (sixth), Reed Sorenson (seventh), Steve Wallace (eighth) and Matt DiBenedetto (10th) earned top-10 results for Toyota in the 225-lap event. JGR teammates, Coleman and DiBenedetto made their first NNS starts of 2010 driving the No. 18 and 20 Camrys, respectively.
TODD'S TEXAS TRIUMPH: Todd Bodine was victorious in Friday night's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS), overcoming an early trip to pit road to lead a race-high 106 of 169 laps. The win was the record sixth for Bodine at the 1.5-mile oval, and it was also the 70th victory by a Tundra driver since Toyota entered the series in 2004. Bodine, who leads the Tundra drivers with 18 career wins behind the wheel of a Toyota, is now 65 points ahead of second-place Aric Almirola in the NCWTS point standings.
LEGEND OF LOGANO: Joey Logano became the youngest race winner in NNS at 18 years, 21 days when he won his first race at Kentucky Speedway in June 2008. The now 20 year-old's first NNS victory came in his third series race. He started that race from the pole and led 76 (of 200) laps. Last year, he again started from the pole and led 20 (of 200) laps en route to a repeat win. In 50 NNS starts, Logano has captured six victories, 22 top-five finishes, 38 top-10 results and 10 pole positions.
MICHIGAN MAGIC MOMENT: Toyota earned it's first-ever win in the top levels of NASCAR competition at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in 2004 -- Toyota's inaugural season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS). The victory came in Toyota's 13th NCWTS start when Travis Kvapil captured the checkered flag at MIS behind the wheel of a Tundra (7-31-04). In five Michigan races, Tundra drivers have earned two wins (Kvapil - 2004 and Benson - 2006) and two poles (Skinner - 2006 and 2008).
