A unique opportunity to be a guest at seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson's "Return to the Blue Blaster" has become available via auction.
The proceeds of the auction will go to the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, including the Bring a Trailer buyer's fee.
The winning bidder and a guest will bag a VIP experience at the 2025 Seattle Seafair Unlimited Hydroplane races, where the former NASCAR driver will pilot Bill Muncey's Atlas Van Lines "Blue Blaster" hydroplane on Lake Washington. The prize will also give the highest bidder access to an exclusive reception with the NASCAR legend, along with 11-time APBA Gold Cup champion Chip Hanauer.
Johnson's interest in the Unlimited hydroplane races began back in 1979 when he celebrated his fourth birthday with his father at Mission Bay. The two-time national champion and three-time Gold Cup-winning Blue Blaster, which was owned by Bill Muncey, caught Johnson's eye despite breaking down.
Bidding is already open via Auction Leader Bring a Trailer. At the time of writing, the highest bid stands at $10,000.
It's been a big year for the NASCAR Hall of Famer. He celebrated his 700th career NASCAR Cup Series start at the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, becoming the 21st driver in history to reach the milestone.
“To reach my 700th start at the very race and track where my Cup career began makes this moment incredibly special,” Johnson said.

“It’s a full-circle journey, and to share it with fans on Memorial Day weekend while honoring a fallen service member adds even more meaning.”
On top of this, Johnson also became the majority owner of his team Legacy Motor Club.
"I really have to thank Maury Gallagher for giving me the opportunity within the ownership space," he explained at the time. "He has been an outstanding partner, mentor and friend and I'm grateful we had the opportunity to work together, I've learned so much from him.
"As his professional career takes a different path, he can worry less about the daily team owner things and focus more on family and enjoying life.
"The partnership with Knighthead is a game-changer for Legacy MC. Their expertise in navigating complex investment opportunities and success in sports will provide Legacy MC with the resources and guidance needed to push for championships and solidify our place in NASCAR for years to come.
"Having Knighthead on board will not only strengthen our racing efforts but also enhance the fan experience and expand our reach in the global motorsports ecosystem, not limited to NASCAR."
