They were difficult to get a grip on right away, but I think that you'll
see a lot more drivers going faster with the new tire the second time
around. When we were here last month, we were beginning to get things
figured out on our race set-up when we got caught in that big pile-up."

BALDWIN ON NEW HAMPSHIRE
"Again, we find ourselves with a finish that isn't indicative of
how we ran. Last week, we messed up our qualifying effort and had to start
in the back. Ward was quick to make up some positions even though the car
was a little loose, we were still racing pretty good. We had adjusted on
the car all day until we finally got it better and then Kevin Harvick ran
all over the back of us and got us spun around. Ward couldn't get the car
fired back up in time before we went a lap down. We spent the rest of the
race running among the top five cars while trying to get our lap back. We
finally got that lap back just in time to have a problem with the carburetor
and a valve spring. We just can't buy a break. We'll have to take our
20th-place finish and head to Pocono."
BALDWIN ON POCONO
"Ward likes Pocono, but he can't ever seem to finish where he has run for
most of the races. We were running a little tight - but we were fairly
decent - last month until we got caught up in a wreck. We were forced to
the garage and had to repair the damage and then were able to get back on
the track and complete some more laps to advance a few more positions. We
just need a weekend where we roll off the truck good, qualify decent and
have a great finish. Pocono is like no other track that we go to. It has
three distinctively different turns. Turn one is the most normal turn, with
it's sweeping turn. The tunnel turn (turn two) is a very tight turn, mostly
because you're going so fast when you enter the turn and then turn three is
tight and bumpy. I'd have to say that getting through turn three is the most
important since it dictates your frontstretch speed. We're taking the same
car that we raced here last month and at California Speedway."
