Reutimann Discusses Racing at Watkins Glen International
Talk a little about the upcoming race at Watkins Glen, which will be your debut in a Sprint Cup car--
"I've had the chance to run at The Glen in my Nationwide car and obviously I've run a couple of road course events this season but as a whole this road racing isn't really one of my strengths. Even with a lack of experience, you don't enter the weekend with a different goal than you do any other weekend. On the Cup side, we would be happy to get out with a top-10 finish and on the Nationwide side, you really have to get a top-five to gain any on the point's leader.
A big key is like at any other track where it's important to try and qualify well. That's especially true at the road courses. The competition is close and with the road race ringers that drive for some of the teams, it's important to get your race off to a strong start."
Any other strategy that is important for this weekend--
"Outside of qualifying, it seems that shooting to pit inside your fuel window and pit strategy can be key to a good run. This is just a track where it's important for your car to be handling well because of all the turns and how much ground you can lose if you're not (handling well). It's a driver's track so it's up to us to go out there and drive our guts out because that's how you have to approach these tracks."
