"The guys at the shop have been working extremely hard on the race program. Kenny has been carrying the team for the past few races and we are trying to take some of the load off him. We are practicing pit stops daily and we have improved tremendously in the past few weeks. When the pit crew does their job, it is easy to get those top-10 finishes." --- Andy Petree, car owner/crew chief of the Skoal Bandit Racing Chevrolet

KEN SCHRADER: NOTES AND QUOTES WATKINS GLEN INTERNATIONAL BUD AT THE GLEN Ken Schrader and the Skoal Bandit Racing team returns to Watkins Glen International after posting their third straight top-10 finish. They have been on a roll with these solid finishes since the Jiffy Lube 300 at New Hampshire International Raceway in July. Andy Petree tentatively removed himself from changing tires for the sole purpose of trying to improve the pit stops by being able to observe them more closely.

Last week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Skoal Bandit Racing team battled back from 41st position and one lap down after cutting a tire in the early stages of the Brickyard 400. Schrader placed himself back on the lead lap when he passed leader, Jeff Gordon, after a caution flag was displayed. Petree made the call to take two tires during a pit stop near the conclusion of the race. This strategy placed Schrader 12th in the running order and put him in place for his 10th-place finish. That finished advanced the Skoal Bandit Racing team to 10th in the point standings.

Last year during the Bud At The Glen, Schrader was battling Johnny Benson for 10th when the two made contact in turn one. The No. 33 spun around and Schrader returned to the field in 30th position. Schrader showed the crowd the quality of the car as he advanced to 14th position during the remaining 28 laps.
