WELCOME BACK WESTERMAN -- The No. 40 will be sporting the green and white Westerman Companies paint scheme this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. This is Westerman's fourth appearance on the Key Motorsports Chevy this season, and the second race with Scott Wimmer behind the wheel. Westerman Companies will be featuring their specialized nuclear products and services on the hood for Friday night's event.
DOUBLE DUTY -- In addition to his duties behind the wheel of the No. 40 Westerman Companies Chevrolet for Key Motorsports, Scott Wimmer will be making his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start of the 2009 season this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. He will be driving the No. 4 Alpha Natural Resources car for Morgan-McClure Motorsports. Scott drove this car for 23 races in 2006.
A FULL HOUSE -- Bristol Motor Speedway is known for its close, exciting, full-contact racing in every series that hits the 0.533-mile concrete track, and NASCAR Nationwide Series fans never want to miss the action. Attendance at Bristol has been over 100,000 for the past 20 NNS events at the track.
CHASSIS INFORMATION -- Key Motorsports will be utilizing chassis #003 under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway. The team most recently raced the #003 to a 16th place finish at Richmond International Raceway in May.
POINTS UPDATE -- The No. 40 remains 23rd in the NNS owner points after Scott Wimmer's DNF at Michigan International Speedway. Curtis Key's entry now sits 219 points inside the top-30.
Scott Wimmer:
ON BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY -- "Bristol has been a real good track for me in the past and I've had some good runs there. It makes for exciting racing...it's got 150,000 people in the stands and we can go two-wide around there now. It's a race that everyone wants to win so I think that's why we're up there racing so hard and you see the great racing you do there."
