On Bristol: "Bristol requires a different mindset from any other speedway. You got in there with the game plan not to let the track beat you. The 36-degree banking is very tough on cars and drivers. When you put 43 cars on a half-mile racetrack, trouble is always just a few feet away. You have to be very aggressive and attack the track, but at the same time you have to be careful of everyone around you. The game plan is to avoid everyone else's problems and not create a problem of your own."

On the season: "There are two ways to look at the season: First is, of course, are the results. Second is how competitive we've been. One doesn't always compare to the other. We've improved every week as a team, and now we're waiting for the results to catch up. The important thing is we've improved every race as a team and we're competitive. The results will follow."
