"The season is coming to an end and I want to bring it to a close with some strong finishes. Tire wear is always a big concern at Rockingham, but we tested here not too long ago and I think we will be competitive." -- Buckshot Jones, driver of the No.00 Bayer Aspirin / Alka-Seltzer Pontiac

Equipment: Jones will be driving the No. 00 Bayer Aspirin / Alka-Seltzer Pontiac that he qualified third with at Darlington Raceway in September of this year.
Where Is Buckshot? Deer hunting season officially opened this past weekend in Georgia. Jones has been spending all of his free time preparing their family farm in Monticello, Ga., for the start of hunting season.
"I spent the entire weekend at the farm with my family and some friends," said Jones. "I love to race, but this is one of my favorite times of the year. I have already started to plan a couple of hunting trips during the off season to Texas and Canada and I usually try to go hunting with the guys on the team." Buckshot Has A Message For Young Drivers: Buckshot Jones has joined with the Georgia Teenage Driver Safety Council to spread the word about driver education. Jones will tape a public service announcement and appear at a press conference at the state capital in Atlanta, Ga., to kick off a statewide campaign to make parents more aware about driver education. The state of Georgia is ranked 40% above the national average for teenage deaths related to non-alcohol driving accidents, and teenagers are not required to take a driver's education course before obtaining their first driver's license. Buckshot and the Georgia Teenage Safety Council hope to encourage parents to educate their teens before allowing them to get a driver's license.
