CONCORD, NC (May 27, 2003) - Team Yellow was faced with a series of obstacles this weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway. The team did an amazing job of pulling together each time, proving that they will stick together and do what it takes to overcome and conquer adversity. The attitudes of "Teamwork Wins" and "Yes We Can" are what make this team successful week in and week out.

Weather was a factor throughout much of the race weekend, but the rain held off Friday afternoon allowing the Busch teams time for practice and qualify. During the first practice session Team Yellow Driver Jamie McMurray skidded across the infield grass, but did not do any damage to the No. 1 Dodge. "I was testing the car to see what it was capable of when it got a little loose. I felt it start to turn around and I knew the best thing was to follow the spin and hold onto the car. It slid through the grass, and the only thing that happened was I got a little sod on the underside of the car, " McMurray said.

The entire team pulled together to clean the car, change all four tires and get back on the track for additional practice time, which provided valuable insight into the way the car would react to changes made during Saturday's race.

On Saturday afternoon McMurray climbed behind the wheel and when the green flag flew he began rapidly working his way through the field. Within ten laps the Team Yellow car had moved from 23rd up to 13th position.

On lap 66 the Team Yellow crew pitted under green flag conditions and they had a very quick pit stop. Ten laps later the crew was forced to pit again to fix a tire problem. By having the unscheduled stop the car went two laps down, but the team never lost their desire to be number one. If anything, the unscheduled stop served to increase the teams desire to perform well.

"Any time you have to make an unscheduled stop it's difficult. The team was doing so well and gaining positions on the track quickly. For many other teams the stop would have been the downfall of their day. Team Yellow has so much heart and the ability to pull together and be one unit in any situation. Something like this only makes us work harder," crew chief Marc Reno said.

By running strong and never giving up, Team Yellow was able to gain a few more positions, thus increasing the number of points the team earned at the end of the day. Matt Kenseth piloted his Ford across the finish line in first place while Kyle Busch came in second and Scott Riggs in third.

"I always enjoy working with this crew and representing all of the employees of Yellow. We had to work really hard for every position today, and I hope that all of the employees are proud of what the team was able to accomplish under such difficult circumstances," McMurray said.

Team Yellow finished the event in 23rd position and is currently third in owner's points. Be sure to tune in next week and watch Team Yellow driver David Stremme return behind the wheel as he competes in the MBNA Platinum200 at Dover International Speedway. Qualifying for the event will take place on Friday May 30 at 1:10 pm ET. The race is Saturday, May 31 at 1:00 pm ET and will be aired live on FX beginning at 12:30 pm.
