WOLFE TO LAUNCH EVERNHAM MOTORSPORTS INTO THE NASCAR BUSCH SERIES AT DAYTONA

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 15, 2005) - 2005 is the year Paul Wolfe has been waiting for. After several years of building and driving racecars in the NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series and running a select number of races in the NASCAR Busch Series, the 27-year-old Milford, New York native finally has the chance to drive full time in one of NASCAR's top series.

When he takes to the track at Daytona International Speedway for the NASCAR Busch Series Hershey's TAKE 5 300, Wolfe will also be helping to christen two other firsts. 2005 is Evernham Motorsports first ever full time appearance in the Busch Series, and this year also marks the return of the Dodge Charger to NASCAR.

"To be a part of a well-respected and successful organization like Evernham Motorsports is a dream come true for any racer that has worked hard over the years just hoping to get such an opportunity," said Wolfe. "With the extensive resources that Evernham Motorsports provides and the team of talented fabricators, mechanics and engineers that we have in place, we have all the tools in the toolbox to have a successful season. There is some stiff competition in the NASCAR Busch Series this year but we think we can accomplish the goals we have set - running up front consistently, fighting for wins and winning the Rookie of the Year title."

Last season Wolfe competed in the Hungry Drivers Program in three Busch Series races, with a career best 12th place finish at New Hampshire. Feb. 19 will be Wolfe's second appearance at Daytona. In 2004's Daytona Busch race, he worked his way to as high as second but had to settle for a 36th place finish after being involved in a mid-race accident.

In January's Daytona Busch Series testing sessions, Wolfe and his new crew chief Elton Sawyer put one of the fastest cars on the track. The No. 6 Evernham Dodge even topped the speed chart for individual car runs on Jan. 23.

"After a really good test session at Daytona I am looking forward to going back. The test gave me some time to get more familiar with the track and the chance to get a better feel for how the car will perform in the draft," Wolfe said. "Evernham Motorsports has given me an awesome car for this weekend that is capable of a strong finish."

Qualifying for the Hershey's TAKE 5 300 is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 18 at 3 p.m. It will be shown live on SPEED Channel. The race will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19 and will be shown live on FOX.
