GREG BIFFLE-60-Grainger Ford Taurus (Qualified 3rd)
"It was pretty good. We qualified eighth here last year, so we focused a little bit more on qualifying during practice today and got the Grainger Ford to where I could drive it around there pretty good. It was a little bit slicker than I remembered it. Last year, I remembered it being a little looser. This year, the temperature is quite a bit hotter, I think, and it made the track kinda greasy and slick for our car. We just couldn't quite get the grip that I needed to get the throttle down across three and four. It cost me a little time, but we're real happy to be starting third. We were really happy with our race runs, and we're looking forward to tomorrow."
HOW WILL WEATHER CHANGE HOW YOU APPROACH THE RACE TOMORROW? "The concrete doesn't change around as much as long it doesn't get any rain on it. The concrete stays fairly consistent, unlike asphalt. Charlotte will change dramatically but here it doesn't change that much and our Happy Hour is pretty late this evening so we might see some of those temperatures starting to cool off already in Happy Hour."
TALK ABOUT YOUR COMFORT LEVEL HERE. "I feel really comfortable here at Dover. I'm glad that I have a week to run a different race track before I came here after the accident I had in Nazareth. My ribs are pretty sore and this is a place that pretty demanding in the car. We're just hoping that Jeff (Purvis) is getting better. I really enjoy running here and I have a couple of seconds, I believe. All I know is that I ran good here. I like the race track and I think we have a good car for tomorrow."
HOW IS YOUR HEALTH AFTER THE NAZARETH ACCIDENT? "Not too bad. My ribs are getting better. My back is starting to hurt now. Just one side of my back is sore like I was trying to hold myself up in the seat maybe at the Charlotte race. Weird things happen and you stretch muscles and things like that, and until you get back in the race car and get a race under your belt, you don't notice some of those problems. I'm healing up fairly quick. My ribs are the only thing and my back is a little bit sore still. Other than that, I fell pretty good in the car today, so I'm pretty happy about that."
