Jeff Green On Rockingham: Jeff Green, driver of the No. 10 Nestle NesQuik Chevrolet, is seeking his first win at 'The Rock.'
"I'm pretty tired of finishing second, that's for sure," said Green. "The past two times I've raced there, I've finished second, so I'm ready to get to victory lane. We've got a really strong car for this weekend, so I know we're capable of getting our first win."
On Clinching the Championship: Green and his NesQuik Racing team have the ability to clinch the championship this weekend at 'The Rock.' Green needs to gain 29 points on Jason Keller at Rockingham to clinch the championship. If Keller finishes fourth or better, Green cannot clinch the championship at Rockingham.
"It really depends on what Jason (Keller) does whether we clinch the championship this weekend," said Green. "I'm torn about what I'd like to happen. On one hand, it would be special to be able to clinch at 'The Rock' since it is so close to the shop. Many of the shop guys who don't get to travel to the track each weekend will be there and this championship belongs to them just as much as it does to everyone else on this team, so it would be great to have them there to celebrate with us. On the other hand, that would require Jason's team to finish out of the top-five. Everyone at ppc Racing is focused getting the No. 57 team to finish second in points, so I want them to do the best possible. We only wants what is best for ppc Racing right now and I want both teams to do well this weekend."
New Team Addition: Randall Chupp has been hired by ppc Racing to be the in-house car chief for the No. 10 NesQuik Racing team. Chupp has won five national dirt championships as a crew chief and one national dirt championship title as a driver.
"Randall is a highly motivated, championship caliber person," said crew chief, Harold Holly. "He is very knowledgeable and lives and breathes racing just like everyone else on this team. I feel very lucky to have him as a part of our team now and I know he will only add value to our organization."
Equipment: The NesQuik Racing team is taking a relatively new car to Rockingham. The car has only competed twice this year: Michigan where it finished 14th and two weeks ago at Charlotte where it finished fourth.
