In Ken Schrader's three Busch Series starts at Bristol Motor Speedway, he has accumulated two top-10 finishes. He finished second to current Winston Cup teammate Kenny Wallace in the fall of 1994, and finished sixth in the fall race last year.

"Bristol has been pretty good to me in both the Winston Cup and Busch Series," said Schrader. "I race a lot of short tracks, but nothing really compares to Bristol. I like the high banks and there is a lot of opportunity to pass. Bristol can be a very physically challenging track for a driver, but it sure is a great show for the fans."

The Schraders spent their off-weekend in St. Louis, Mo. They had a dirt late model, modified, sportsman and street stock race at Pevely, their track located in St. Louis. Unfortunately, the events rained out and are re-scheduled for May 8.

Kingsport, Tenn., native and crew chief of the Oakwood Homes Chevrolet Chris Carrier elected to test at Bristol after the Texas event. The Oakwood Homes team is taking the car they finished sixth with at Bristol last year. The car was ran two weeks ago at Texas and had a seventh-place finish.

"The track is definitely faster this year," said Chris Carrier. "We ran faster than what the pole position was last fall. Schrader really likes this car and we used the same set-up from last year to test, so we feel we are at a good starting point."
