Matt Kenseth marched from 24th place to grab the win at Darlington Raceway, know as the lady to tough to tame. Tame it he did in his Roush Racing no. 17 Ford to take his first Busch series win of the season and second career win at Darlington.

"This is great," said Kenseth. "I am really proud of these guys.I gotta thank all my Cup guys for straightening this team out. Getting us up and running. They pitted the car as good as anyone could pit it. Great job."

Kenseth led fifty laps on his way to his 18th career victory. Kenseth is only the sixth Darlington winner to come from further back than 21st place.

ppc Racing's Kenny Wallace attempted to catch Kenseth and battle for the lead but it just wasn't in the cards. Wallace got hung up behind the lapped car of Shane Hmiel in the closing laps, but even after a single file restart Wallace's Ford just didn't have the juice to catch Kenseth's hot rod.

"You think you are looking good and all of a sudden Matt Kenseth came out of nowhere," commented Wallace. "So, I had to make an adjustment to try and beat him. I couldn't rely on my car just being that good, so I thought if I am gonna win I gotta do something.I couldn't beat him, I finished second, that's all there was."

Reigning Busch series champion Martin Truex, Jr. was third. "Our car was off at the start of the race," explained Truex of his Chance 2 Motorsports Chevy. "It got better there on the long runs, we needed that last 25-30 laps to go green to have a shot at them."

Greg Biffle and Jeff Burton completed the top five.

"We were a little short tonight," said Burton. "We were really fast for about 15 laps and then it would just run the tires off of it. I feel like I didn't do a good job in practice to help get the car set-up and that hurt us on long runs. We had a chance to win tonight and that's all I ask for. I just didn't make the right calls to get us up front."

Carl Edwards continues to lead Busch series standings. Clint Bowyer (-143), Reed Sorenson (-156), Martin Truex, Jr. (-182), and Ashton Lewis, Jr. (284) complete the top five.
