DAVE BLANEY EXCITED ABOUT FIRST KENTUCKY RACE:

* Dave Blaney has logged hundreds of laps on the Sparta, Kentucky 1.5-mile oval, but has never completed even one lap in competition. Testing Nextel Cup cars at Kentucky Speedway over the years has given Blaney knowledge of the track but this weekend's Busch race will mark the first time he has taken the green flag. Blaney is looking forward to the challenge and believes the Camping World team will be successful at this track, perhaps successful enough to capture their first win of the season!

* Dave Blaney will be pulling cross-country double-duty again this weekend. Blaney will be practicing his Nextel Cup car in Michigan, then hoping on a plane to Kentucky. Blaney will be running all six events where the Cup Series and Busch Series are at different locations. This is the first season Blaney has pulled double-duty in both series. He currently sits third in Busch Series point standings and 37th in Nextel Cup point standings.

* As Blaney's Nextel Cup obligations will keep him in Michigan during Busch Series practice on Friday evening, former Braun Racing driver, Chad Blount, will step in and fill the driver's seat. Blaney will try to make the final practice and then will head back to Michigan. Blount ran 11 races in 2003 and one race in 2005 for team owner Todd Braun. Blaney will be back in Kentucky on Saturday in time to qualify his No.10 Camping World Camry.

BLANEY ON RACING AT KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY:

"I've never raced at Kentucky but I'm pretty comfortable with the track from testing cup cars. Our team has had a couple rough weeks and we need Kentucky to help us get back on track. Hopefully I'll make it back for practice on Friday and that will help us get the car ready for Saturday night. If not, I'm sure Chad will do a good job again getting it where it needs to be. We'll just have to wait and see. That's the hard thing about racing in two places, you don't get to spend as much time as you would like preparing for the race."
