Robert Yates Racing development driver Stephen Leicht will have his first date with the 'lady in black' tonight at Darlington Raceway. Leicht makes his sixth start in the No. 90 CitiFinancial Ford, but word has come down that the young driver can look forward to a lot more seat time.

At the beginning of the season, Leicht was set to divvy up Busch series races with fellow development driver Matt McCall and Cup veteran Elliott Sadler. Sadler's struggling Cup series performance, however, has prompted Sadler to step away from his role at the No. 90 Ford and leave the driving to McCall and Leicht.

Leicht is the 2005 ASA champion. He began racing when he was six years old and by 15 he became the youngest driver to ever win the American Challenge Series. He is excited about his opportunity at Yates and about making his first start at the legendary Darlington Raceway this weekend.

"I've never been to Darlington, so this weekend is going to be a learning experience for me," Leicht explained. "I know you have to conserve your tires and be extremely patient if you want to finish the race. Race the racetrack is the approach I'm taking this weekend.

"The practice sessions are going to be extremely important in helping me get the CitiFinancial Ford dialed in for the race.Darlington is a place where I'm glad the rookies get an extra practice session to prepare for the race."

Leicht's partner in the No. 90 Ford won't just be sitting around this weekend watching his buddy on the tube. McCall is set to make his second ARCA/ReMax start in Kentucky. McCall finished second in his ARCA debut at Daytona. He will run the same car that Leicht drive to victory lane in during the Nashville ARCA event.
