Winston Cup regular Jeff Green will start from the third position. 18-year-old Brian Vickers ran his best ever qualifying effort and will roll off of the grid in fourth.

ppc's Jason Keller, chasing Greg Biffle for the Championship, did his part in qualifying by putting his No. 57 Ford in the fifth starting spot. Mike McLaughlin, Ron Hornaday, and Biffle will line up sixth through eighth. While Jimmy Spencer and Bobby Hamilton Jr. close out the top-10.
