Jamie McMurray, making his debut in the Rusty Wallace owned No. 66 Dodge, landed the pole for the Busch series 200. McMurray's lap of 130.007 bested the field by close to a mile-per-hour.

"It's really cool that we won the Busch pole," said McMurray. "Especially getting to drive for Rusty (Wallace). I'm still a little intimidated by the guy. He's one of the guys I don't talk to a lot in the garage. He's always busy it looks like, but I'm really excited about driving for him.

"It's one of the best Busch teams in the series, incredible equipment and it's really cool to be driving for him."

Ron Hornaday was second with a lap of 129.428 mph in the No. 2 RCR Chevy.

"Wish we could have gotten the pole, but we'll take second," said Hornaday. "Great effort for this team."

Jason Leffler's lap of 128.959 mph earned him a third place result.

"Loudon hasn't always been my best track," said Leffler. "But I've had some success there getting the pole and leading a bunch of laps in the Truck Series race in 2002. Hopefully that will help me when we get there this weekend, New Hampshire International Speedway is challenging."

"It's a flat racetrack and that's the fight - getting the car to rotate through the center of the corner and still be able to get up off the corner. You definitely have to have good forward bite to be able to drive as straight off the corner as possible. You have to have a lot of motor, but the car is going to have to turn really good in the center of the corner if you are going to have a chance at winning at New Hampshire."

Mike Bliss and Bobby Hamilton, Jr. complete the top five.
