SPARTANBURG, SC (June 25, 2003) -- Yellow Transportation, the primary sponsor of Team Yellow Racing is celebrating its receipt of a 2003 Tranny Award last week at the annual Transportation Marketing & Communications Association (TMCA) Tranny Awards banquet held in Hilton Head, SC.

The Tranny Awards recognize North American transportation companies that have developed creative, strategic marketing and communications programs in one of nine categories. The Team Yellow Racing motorsports program received both an Award of Excellence and an inaugural "Best in Show" award. Award of Excellence winners must demonstrate comprehensive strategic insight, grounded in research and extensive results. Yellow was selected Best in Show by conference attendees.

"We were so honored to receive these awards for our motorsports program. Every year the racing program has grown, and we are so proud of the success it has had," said Mike Brown, Vice President of Marketing Communications and Strategic Market Planning, Yellow Corp.

"Yellow has successfully combined a first-class company with a first-class motorsports team and come up with an all-around winning formula that is good for our brand, our employees and our customers."

Team Yellow Racing driver David Stremme said, "I am so proud to be part of an award-winning program. Each week we prove that we are #1 on the track and #1 in transportation. I want to congratulate everyone at Yellow on winning these prestigious awards."

The GNC Live Well 250 at The Milwaukee Mile will be aired live on FX and broadcast live on MRN beginning at 2:00 p.m. EDT Sunday June 29. Qualifying for the event will take place Saturday, June 28 at 1:05 p.m. EDT and will be aired on Speedchannel.
