Race Information -- Event: AT&T 250: Saturday, June 24th at 8:30 p.m. EST; Track: The Milwaukee Mile Qualifying: June 24th at 6:00 p.m. EST; Track Length: 1.0 mile paved oval
2006 NASCAR Busch Series Underway: Ashton Gray Racing (AGR) with driver Jason White will make their second NBS start of the 2006 season this weekend at the Milwaukee Mile. Earlier this month, the team made their series debut at Nashville Superspeedway.
Welcome Back: GunBroker.com, the world's largest online auction of firearms and accessories will return as the primary sponsor of the No. 08 Dodge Charger. The Milwaukee Mile is the second of five races as primary sponsor of AGR's No. 08 machine.
No. 08 GunBroker.com Chassis: The AGR crew will unload the same chassis they ran at Nashville Superspeedway two weeks ago. The team is confident in the chassis and believes it is the strongest in their stable. Arrington Racing Engines will provide the horsepower this weekend
No Pressure: Unlike Nashville, the AGR team won't have to hold their breath in qualifying to earn a berth into the AT&T 250. Earlier this week, NASCAR released the official entry list with only 39 cars entered four under the standard 43 car starting field which automatically guarantees White his third career start at Milwaukee.
Jason White, Ashton Gray Racing Milwaukee Mile Pre-Race Quotes:
On Nashville: "Obviously we would have liked to produce a better finish than what we did, but we battled brake issues. I'm proud of our accomplishments at Nashville. Everything went smoothly. We qualified for the race and ran very competitive during the Federated Auto Parts 300 before the mechanical problem. We have corrected the issue and we're looking forward to a top-ten finish this weekend."
On GunBroker.com Returning As Primary Sponsor: "We have one of the slickest looking cars on the track and I'm proud to be sporting the GunBroker.com colors. They are a fabulous organization and their niche for racing is powerful. The entire Ashton Gray Racing team is looking forward to giving them a finish they can be proud of on Saturday night."
On Returning To The Milwaukee Mile: "I'm looking forward to returning to Milwaukee. I have two NASCAR Busch Series starts at the track and I've run very decent. Our goal is to practice, qualify and race in the top-20. We are capable of doing that. It could be a very big weekend for Ashton Gray Racing.
Dwayne Gaulding, co-owner of the No. 08 GunBroker.com Dodge Charger:
On Nashville: "We had some minor hiccups, but overall we are very happy with our performance at Nashville. Jason did a great job all weekend. The crew was on top of their game, sometimes you can't control mechanical woes. As a team we learned a lot and we'll be able to take what learned and utilize it for the rest of the season."
On Racing At The Milwaukee Mile: "The entire Ashton Gray Racing is excited about this weekend's race. We're taking the same car we ran at Nashville and it should run very competitively. As a team, our goal is a top-20 finish Saturday night and I think we'll secure that with flying colors."
