Stacy Compton Quotes

On Milwaukee: "It will be fun to race at a flat track like Milwaukee. We've been at the high-banked intermediate tracks for four consecutive weeks, so a change is certainly welcomed. You approach Milwaukee the same way you do New Hampshire -- you need to make sure the car can run through the corners. We're bringing a lot of short-track notes with us and a speedway engine. That should be a perfect combination."

On the season: "The race last week at Kentucky was a turning point for our team. The guys on this team worked hard before and during the race to make the car better, and at the end we were as fast as the leaders. We've had three solid finishes in a row. I think we're starting to get on a roll. A top-10 last week was a good way to start it, so the challenge now is to improve on it."

Crew Chief Chris Rice Quote

On Milwaukee: "Stacy was right: You come to Milwaukee with a speedway car and a short track mentality. The cars will slide around in the corners, but the really fast cars will be the ones that are pointed straight coming off the corners for the sprint down the straightaway. During the race, the crew will have to find ways to free the car up so it can get through the corners without any problems, but not so free the driver can't keep it under him. It's a tricky balancing act."
