BUSCH: NASCAR Goody''s Dash Series, Schedule Changes

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 22 2000) - Officials for the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing have announced two changes to the Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring 2000 racing schedule. The series was originally scheduled to run a 150-lap event at Lanier National Speedway, Gainesville, GA., a .375-mile asphalt oval, on August 19 2000. That event has been moved to September 2 2000. Last season, Jake Hobgood of Winnsboro, S. C., scored his only victory of 1999 at Lanier when he topped Zach Brewer and Johnny Chapman. The original event scheduled for September 2, 2000 at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Va., has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled. The Goody's Dash Series is one of nine NASCAR Touring Series that blanket the United States. NASCAR Touring brings special events to many NASCAR Weekly Racing Series tracks and some NASCAR superspeedways and road courses. NASCAR Touring Series can provide a competitor with an entire career, or they can provide valuable experience to competitors moving through the NASCAR ranks. Corporate sponsors make significant contributions to NASCAR Touring Series point funds.
