CHARLOTTE, NC --- After 11 races in the 2001 NASCAR Busch Series season, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Mike McLaughlin has established himself as a serious contender for the 2001 Championship. With one victory and six top-ten finishes, McLaughlin stands in fifth place in the season long point's race. McLaughlin and the racing team have all the ingredients in hand to make a championship run except for one, a primary sponsor. <pre> BUSCH SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP RECIPE

Ø One talented race car driver Ø One crew chief with strong leadership skills and the ability to build a fast race car Ø A team full of talented mechanics and dedicated employees Ø One team owner with the proven ability of building championship teams Ø A pit crew capable of performing 14 second pit stops Ø One primary sponsor

If the team can add that final ingredient to the mix, Mike McLaughlin should be able to contend for the 2001 Busch Series Title in the # 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Pontiac. The rest of the key ingredients are in place and waiting on the primary sponsor to join the organization.

Joe Gibbs Racing Vice President of Business Dean Noble is leading the search for the final ingredient.

"Joe Gibbs Racing can offer one of the best programs in racing with a package that includes a top performing Busch car as well as identity with the reigning Winston Cup champion, Bobby Labonte, and the driver who won more Winston Cup races last season than any other, Tony Stewart. We work hard to create partnerships with our other sponsors.....sponsors who are among the biggest and best in their industry."

Joe Gibbs Racing also offers a sponsor the opportunity to amortize their 2001 sponsorship costs over the length of the contract with the team.

"We realize where most companies are at with their 2001 marketing budgets and can work with them to meet those budgets," Noble said. "A company can join us for the balance of the year for a fraction of what a normal primary sponsorship would cost."

As Noble continues his search for the perfect partner, the race team continues to work hard and perform at the highest level. The team will take to the track this weekend at The New Hampshire International Speedway. McLaughlin will be among the favorites for victory based on his six career victories at the one-mile track.

Hopefully one day soon McLaughlin can pull into Victory Lane and grab the hat of his new sponsor as he prepares for one of his trademark celebration dives from the top of the # 20 Busch Series Pontiac.
