Dark, threatening skies met the green flag of the Busch race and it didn't take long for Mother Nature to have her way. Inclement weather has plagued Dover International Speedway all morning Saturday. Heavy rains began overnight, and continued to drill the area through the mid-morning hours.

NASCAR was able to dry the track surface enough to squeeze in NEXTEL Cup series final practice and start the Busch event, but at lap 19 a steady drizzled began to pepper the race track.

Driver's apparently could smell the bad weather in the air, and began the race like they were running the final laps. It took only five circuits before an impatient Tim Fedewa knocked Robby Gordon out of his way, bringing out the days first yellow.

Just as we were back underway at lap 15, Greg Biffle and Ron Hornaday were battling for 5th position, when they knocked together. The contact caused Hornaday to spin in front of the field, setting up a chain reaction crash of Kasey Kahne, Shane Hmiel, Billy Parker and Ashton Lewis who checked up behind Hornaday.

At lap 28, a downpour began red-flagging the event.

After a five hour plus rain delay, NASCAR finally gave up the ghost and called the Busch series event. The race will be ran at 11:00 am Monday morning.
